Designated Delta Faucet Day in Indiana

On January 30, 2004, Delta Faucet Company celebrated the 50th anniversary of the introduction of its first faucet. The original Delta faucet was a kitchen faucet with a unique washerless, single-handle design that revolutionized the faucet industry. Masco Corporation founder, Alex Manoogian, perfected the patented ball valve and triangular cam that gave Delta its name as a first-of-its-kind product. Fifty years later, Indiana Governor Joe Kernan designated January 30 Delta Faucet Company Day in Indiana. The company also received a proclamation from Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson recognizing Delta's many contributions to the Indianapolis community.
